Louise Redknapp might be known for her smooth vocals and being married to one of the biggest footballers in the UK, but now she’s also making a name for herself in the world of beauty.
Her new line, Wild About Beauty, will be released at selected Debenhams and House of Fraser later this month.
Louise, who is married to ex-England player and television pundit Jamie Redknapp, said: “Going into make-up is a nice change of direction in what I do. It’s my business. It’s not an endorsement or a licence deal.
“I own the company and put a lot of time, effort and investment into it.
“I like to use my brain and be creative. Coming from music and going into TV, I like to do things that are right for me and not work aimlessly on things I have no passion for. I like to work.
“I was involved in the business element of this, setting it up, the creativity of it, formulating it and running it.”
Louise, 37, who also appeared as a judge on BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance, has gone for a very natural-looking range, which is already receiving positive feedback from beauty professionals – and her friends.
She said: “For me, being a working mum, it’s a really easy colour cosmetic brand. It has lovely natural ingredients and my partner is Kim Jacobs, a fantastic make-up artist who has formulated tons of make-up. The colours suit everyone.”

Louise Redknapp is to front Schwarzkopf’s new home hair colour range LIVE Salon Style.
The former singer and TV presenter will front an advertising and PR campaign for the brand.
The campaign will launch later this year and run during 2012. Activity will include in-store, point of sale, print and social media activity as well as a PR campaign.
It is the first time the celebrity has fronted a hair-care range but she has previously fronted campaigns for Carling and lingerie brand Triumph.

Jamie & Louise Thomas Cook it Again
LONDON, Jan. 7, 2011 - PRNewswire
With the peak holiday booking season well under way, Thomas Cook has once again looked to Jamie and Louise Redknapp to bring to life the 'it' from the famous strap line 'Don't just book it, Thomas Cook it.' Thomas Cook's New Year campaign, on TV from the 1st January, will see updated creative executions including footage that updates the original Jamie and Louise film. More than ever, the campaign will re-enforce the idea that when you want to organise your dream trip, look to Thomas Cook holidays.
The new TV ads will include a post -10pm take on the original 30' ad, which sees Jamie emerge from the sea a la James Bond, and includes more footage of Louise on the beach with a newly recorded voiceover from the BBC's 'Something for the Weekend' host. As a nod to Jamie's football punditry, a sports exclusive 20' ad will see extended footage of Jamie's 'keepy uppy' skills on Llandudno Beach in Cape Town.
The original ad has also been updated with new frames and a new voiceover by the Redknapps.
Michael Johnson, Marketing Director at Thomas Cook UK & Ireland, said, "We were very impressed with last year's response to the Jamie and Louise campaign, so working with them again was an easy decision to make and we're really excited with the how the new adverts look.
"As the cold weather plays its part in turning people's thoughts to sunnier climes as they look to book their well deserved holiday, we're sure that our new campaign will help holidaymakers dream of next summer."

I launched an accessories brand called Lily and Lionel recently and Louise is wearing our 'Carnivals' carf here on the plane! http://thelilyandlionelblog.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
She apparently loved the carnival scarf that she decided to buy it- she is meant to be such a lovely person.
Sorry to ramble but just in case you ever wondered where her scarf is from now you know :)
Alice

Louise,
Just read the article in Sun (so can I believe it??!?) in which you recieved criticism for the Thomas Cook ad.
Absolutely ridiculous and you and Jamie (who I dislike cos he's got you, but actually is a top bloke!) really sell the whole range of things to do on holiday so well.
Ignore the politically correct idiots who want to take all the glamour out of life.
You reign supreme!

just wanted to say hello to louise and all and am a big fan of yours.
Only just discovered this website after watching a programme on tv about Louise doing a weightloss programme, think it was about size 0.
Louise,
In case you read this:
Wanted to write you a note as last night I watched the Super Skinny programme you did (I saved it on my digi box and only just got round to watching it) and thought it was very good.
I sat down to watch it with a delicious piece of lemon cheescake and your programme made me enjoy it even more as I did not feel at all guilty.
I am pregnant with my second baby. With my daughter I put on circa 2.5stone and I predict I will do the same with my second, so what?! I did lose the weight and I am sure in time I will do that again.
I am not here to judge anyone else, but wanted to say thank you for making me feel more confident and stopping me from judging myself!
One thing that I didn't think is: MUST moisturise day and night!
Stephanie
I stayed reasonably slim through my pregnancy, but now my daughter is 9 months old and I gone from a size 10 to a size 16. All the weight I've put on has been since I had her. I have just ballooned. I'm actually really depressed about it and it's ruining this precious time that I've got with my baby. I'm only 5ft tall so it really looks bad. So many people said it takes 9 months to have a baby and so expect 9 months to lose the weight, but I've put it on instead. I know its vain, but i just don't feel like me. I've got no confidence. I want to be a yummy mummy.
After recently giving birth to my third child who is now 8 months old I thought that this program would be very insightful after watching the program I felt unsure about the focus. Louise just filmed herself being as shallow as all the other celebs who put themselves through ridiculous exercise and diets to get their bodies back in just a few weeks. These sooo called celebs are sending such a wrong message and putting women under pressure to loose pregnancy weight when it just isn't natural. It would have been fine if she had just been documenting other women as this is an issue and concern and does need to be highlighted but not by going along with the crowd. I have just returned back to work and still have some weight to loose but fortunately I don't strave myself to do this.
Hi again,
For those gals who think I did not watch the program. I did.
However, I don't think I have made myself clear what I am annoyed about.
Louise starved herself to size zero in the last series.
This is very bad for fertility. Even Louise said so in the last series.
Not long after she is on the telly again, pregnant.
She was very lucky. She could have ruined her fertility by the starvation diet. Believe me I know from personal experience that infertility is the most heart breaking bereavement imaginable.I would never wish that to happen to anyone. She should not have taken that risk for the sake of a TV program. Because she actually was lucky enough to get away with keeping her fertility despite the starvation, it showed a very bad example to other women.
It is a bit like the situation... everyone knows someone who smoked 20-40 cigarettes a day and lived to a ripe old age. They are lucky. Statistically there will always be some exceptions to the rule that cigarettes will kill you. However no-one would feel happy if one of these people were a beautiful celebrity and they made a program which showed how you could smoke lots of cigarettes and remained healthy just because this lucky person did and portrayed it as some sort of educational enlightening documentary.
Louise is just showing off that she can loose weight quickly and still have it all.... fertility...babies etc.
I cant blame her for wanting to show off and make money.
However, UTV should not glamorise something that is dangerous and could cause harm to most women.
It also does feel from my perspective that she is putting her two fingers up at women who really have tried to lead a healthy life and despite everything are childless.
I hope people can now understand why I am annoyed at this program?
regards
Karen
PS Laura. I did not let my child sit up to watch the show
As someone who suffered from an Eating Disorder for 15 years, including severely during my first pregnancy, I was initially asked to take part in the programme. The producers changed their minds and decided not to include my story, as I refused to provide "shocking" photos of myself and details of lowest weights I have reached etc.
I am so, so glad I was not a part of this programme. The ITV website talks of women "putting their babies' lives at risk to ensure they get their figure back", which is so far from the reality of suffering from an eating Disorder whilst pregnant, it's untrue.
During my pregnancy, I lost a large amount of weight myself, but my baby's health was always monitored (at my insistence), and he was born weighing 8lbs 7oz. he is now a happy boisterous 18 month old. Throughout my pregnancy, it was me asking for help and being ignored by doctors. I was refused a referral to a specialist in Eating Disorders so many times that in desperation I had to pay privately for my assessment. had inpatient treatment (recommended by the specialist) been available to me, I would have agred immediately, as all i wanted was to ensure my baby was not damaged by my illness. Instead I was eventually allowed one outpatients' appointment a month, in my final trimester only.
I think the makers of this programme had the opportunity to raise awareness of the real issues. Instead they sensationalised the subject. There is no comparison between someone suffering from an Eating Disorder during pregnancy and someone who wants to be photographed in her underwear weeks after giving birth. Portraying women who suffer from Anorexia, Bulimia or other eating Disorders during their pregnancies as shallow, vain, celebrity-obsessed people who care more about their figure than their child's health, will put many women off seeking help. The reality is that there are women out there who are simply unable to eat normally, terrified for their babies' health and feeling like the worst mothers in the world. I am thankful that I have been able to access the intensive treatment I needed, and am having a much healthier second pregnancy. I wish this programme had been used to raise awareness so that the issues might be better understood and help might be made available to more women.
I have just watched the documentary and think the reporting was unbalanced. Whilst there was a focus on the negative steps women have and will take there was no focus on the benefits of being healthy during pregnancy. If I didn't know better I would think that for some unexplicable reason women can't exercise or eat healthy during pregnancy. There was no mention of the benefits and contribution of breast feeding which can help mums to regain shape after birth. Pregnorexia's clearly have some insecurties which are then being imposed on their unborn child. Is that not child abuse? If a women used cocaine during pregnancy because it can aid weight loss would we all be so sympathetic? I think it's time the male dominted media (especially glossy magazines) reported in a more responsible way and that women take responsibility of their own minds and not be driven by the opinions of a minority who control the media... Becoming a mother (and father) means you made the decision to put the needs of that new little person in your life before your own from conception and that means not putting yourself in risky situations....
I understand Louise wanting to get back to her pre birth weight in time for the shoot because that's work and what puts food on her table and pays the bills...I applaud her for being able to do so through diet and exercise and admitting that she didn't accomplish what she wanted (and looked great anyway). I understand women want to look their best, but it's time women and people accept that change happens, people get older and body shapes change...BIG Up The Shape of a Mother who deal with the reality of being a mum...
Jay, your comments are so true. I was amazed at what some women's perspective of pregnancy were and the extreme measures they were taking. Motherhood is about embracing your body and supporting your body in order to bring a healthy baby into the world. I loved Louise's honesty and the passion she had for finding the right way to go about loosing weight.
I work for a website that provides support to those with weight issues - the majority of these issues come from the media; why can we not accept our bodies for the way they are? As long as we are healthy and active whatever size we are we should embrace life and not have any of these hang ups!
I watched the programme last night and found it very interesting and informative. Louise did not crash diet after having the baby. Did Karen actually watch the programme or has she just made asumptions on what the programme was about. Unfortunately due to media there is the pressure these days to look good throughout your pregancy and drop the baby weight. Most sensible people like Louise do it through healthy eating and exercise. It was great to see Mel C looking so happy and relaxed unlike her band mate Posh Spice who goes into hiding with each pregancy and is back to being skinny within days. Louise looked fantastic throughout and afterwards, she comes across down to earch and talks about subjects that she actually knows about and knows what everyday women are going through. Karen - I suggest you actually watch the programme!
I'm 4 months pregnant and i thought the show was brilliant. I totally disagree with Karen's comments below, Louise was probably asked to do the programme and if she hadn't done it then someone else would have! My respect for Louise grew whilst watching this programme and i believe she is a great role model! Every mum, no matter how much you love your child, would also love to have their pre pregnancy figure back after the babies birth and i know that i will want to be able to fit in to my normal size 10 jeans not long after! In reality i know it may take a while but i don't mind, i am taking the chance to relish in my pregnancy and enjoy every second. Not all of us have an underwear shoot and a personal trainer to spur us into getting back in shape! And Louise didn't crash diet after the birth, she simply ate healthy and excercised more! I wish a few more people would be abit more open minded about these sort of documentries and realise that they are there to show us the risks and what you could be doing to your body. To say she is a bad role model is over the top and frankly pointless! If you don't want your child to see that sort of thing, then why are you letting them stay up till past 9 to watch it!? These programmes are not there to "rub infertile womens noses in it" they are not tied down and forced to watch it... thats like saying that having a maternity unit at the hospital is rubbing their noses in it because they have to see that when they visit the hosptial!! silly! The only low point about the programme for me was seeing the mother who was carrying that only ate an apple in 2 days! it was very sad.
I say "good on you louise" and congratulations on such a goregous baby boy .I cannot wait for my growing tum, bum and hips and i will be rewarded with the best gift ever! xxxx
P.S YOLANDA its http://theshapeofamother.com/ - great site :o)
Hi is this Louise's official site? ???
or is it http://www.louiseredknappofficial.co.uk ?
Louise i thought your programme was great, it really upsets me how celebs rush into getting back into shape, no one should have to feel under pressure to get back to the post baby shape in such a short period of time, u looked amazing before, during and after, and you truely are a inspiration.
thank you for making another great programme.
Jo x
I thought the programme last night was brilliant. Louise looked lovely both before and after she had her baby and it was lovely to see.
I felt awful for the women who felt it necessary to starve themselves or go for surgery although I can understand what made them do this. Lets face it the alternative (hard work down the gym and healthy eating) takes a while and a lot of effort!!
I had a healthy pregnancy with no problems but I put on five stone. I went from a healthy 10 stone size 10 to 15 stone size 16. I didn't worry about this whilst pregnant and indeed had cake instead of wine.....okay maybe two cakes!! Anyway After having my boy I suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to loose the baby weight. I am not a divvy and I know pix in mags are airbrushed, and I kept telling myself this but everywhere I looked there were yummy mummies looking nice and slim and I felt like a hippo.
I am ashamed to admit i did crash diet but only lasted a few weeks. I didn't have the energy to look after my son as I should and i stopped immediately. I started a healthy eating plan and went out walking with the buggys lots. In the first year I lost over two stone. I then felt at a place where i could go and do some keep fit classes. I started last August (after feeling very embarassed on a summer beach holiday) and have been working hard. I have been doing three step classes a week, one boxercise and have been in the gym. I have since lost over two stone leaving me only half a stone to my target weight and down to a size 12.
Problem is or should i say was.......I still felt that I had more fat to burn and more weight to loose and i was still calling myself fat because I wasn't back into my old size ten jeans. I wanted my body exactly the way it was.
Last night i realised for the first time how lucky I am. I don't feel the need to starve myself, although I go to the gym and eat healthy and i still have the odd bar of chocci. I may not be back to a size ten but twelve is healthy enough, my hips are wider but I have no stretch marks and I have more muscle mass than before so although I am bigger I probably look better than i did before. I don't think I am fat now and I feel a bit silly for beating myself up so much and for putting so much pressure on myself. I think I got here by pure good luck and hard work at the gym but now I am here i realise I am actually happy.
So I am going to go on holiday this summer and be proud of my baby seat (wide hips) and stuff anyone who says anything and yes I will be having ice-creams with my son!!! :)
I think that Karen sums it all up very well. As I watched the programme last night i couldnt help but feel extremely fustrated at the fact that those women including Louise were all pregnant and it was almost a chore for them to put there bodies through something that most women would consider the most natural thing on earth. They should feel extremely blessed that they can conceive and stop being so vain!!! The only important thing through this journey is to raise a healthy child, not to be skinny and obsessed with ones self. Louise has a lovely husband who most probably loves her to bits, she has a good career, lots of money.... Whats the fascination with weight, come on girls get a grip of whats really important and stop blaming your obsessions on what we see in the media, we are all individuals and have our own minds.. I think this programme, like the last one was so pointless and just reassures Louise that see's not the only "selfish mum in the world". I went on to face book today and it seems to appeal to the young impresionable mums that had there babies shortly after leaving school and the majority now want to get that surgery done like the american girl.. So Louise you obvioulsy raised a lot of awareness for your cause which has once again back fired (as wasnt the point ment to be the opposite, like with what happen on your size zero programme which was just as pathetic as this one.. My heart goes out to the women out there that would make wonderfull if not the best mums in the world and can not conceive, this programme must of irritated the c**p out of them.. I know it did me and about 20 other women with young children in my office who all have the same view..
Hi Louise, I am 26 years old, 20 weeks pregnant with twins, and have always been very slim. I was very happy to hear in your documentary that you had put on 2 and a half stone during your pregnancy, and still looked as beautiful as you always have done. It has taken a lot of pressure off me to gain weight as now I have seen you and how healthy you looked with the extra weight. I enjoyed the programme a lot, I was also pleased to see Mel C talking lots of sense and feeling happy with her body at last. The only bit which worried me was the fact you had a photo shoot so soon after your C section. Having to shoot the documentary and do so much exercise meant you mustn't have had much time with your new baby. Please do not ever worry about how you look ,as you have natural beauty and a healthy family. You are very lucky x
I want to take a look at that site, where the women were all proud of their post pregnancy bodies - but I can't remember the name of the site.
Anyone?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and found the programme to be excellent. I have always excercised and been healthy and it is hard to step down a gear when you have a bump and see your body change. I am however very proud to be able to have a baby and feel very lucky.
I identified with many of Louise's comments and thought Mel Chad an amazing attitude towards her body.
I agree with Sarah's message to Karen. Karen you obviously do not understand the purpose of the documentary. Louise I commend you for tackling these issue's I found the documentary fascinating and can really relate to it all having given birth to my beautiful baby boy Bleu 5 months ago. You look fab by the way who does your hair extensions I need them and sure bit cheaper way of making myself feel better than the mummy makeover ha x
I would have liked to seen Louise not worry about losing her baby weight, unfortunately she was as obsessed about it as everyone else. Where is the role model in that?
Sarah, I'm afraid that if a vulnerable girl had watched her last program where Louise went on a ridiculous crash diet, which even she admitted, could damage your fertility, and shortly afterwards sees Louise proudly sporting her baby bump.....what sort of message is that sending out?
Louise is a very lucky girl...talented, beautiful and above all blessed with her health and fertility. A lot of women do not have the latter two. To see someone do something as ridiculous as risk her health and fertility in the last program and then pontificate again in this one is very hard to take. It is rubbing the noses of poor women who have done everything they can to be healthy and fertile to no avail, in the dirt. She had no need to starve herself the last time... she could have made that program without doing that. I remember at the time I watched it thinking... if that silly cow prances around pregnant in a few months... there is no justice in the world. But I actually could not believe that ITV actually allowed a program on it. Louise is obsessed with weight. There was no need to make that bra advert. Just like the crash diet the last program it is unneccessary...it just glamorises Louise's unhealthy approach to weight.
Hello I Just Watched Skinny Pregnacies And I Fell The Same About My Body Im 19 N Ive Had A Lil Boy Who Is 15 Weeks Old Now And Ive Put On 3st Sence I Was Preganet And I Dont Know How To Lose My Weight Because I Live At Home With My Mum And Dad And They Are At Work And My Baby Dad Is Working SomeDays And I Just Wanted To Know Can Any1 Help Me Lose My Baby Wait When Im Looking After My Baby
Thank You
I thought the programme was very informative well done. Also, just wanted to say you look awesome, I love your style! Ali :-)
This is a message to karen, just posted. Obviously you have not understood the message in 'the Truth About Super Skinny Pregnancies'. This is not advertising, it is a documentary, highlighting the dangers of dieting whilst pregnant. If we as a society do not openly discuss and document issues such as this, how are we ever to learn from our mistakes? As society develops we will always come across new issues and I commend Louise for opening this subject to debate.
After the advertising of abortions became legal today, I did not think that British society could sink any lower in one day... and then the superskinny pregnancy program came on. Louise is an atrocious role model. It is a disgrace that she is allowed to advertise harming babies & herself as she has done.i.e. quite recently she was featured starving herself which even she herself said can damage a woman's fertility. But o no not Louise's..a few months later we have to endure her again.. this time pregnant. Proving to young girls that you can go on crazy crash diets and still have a baby. This time she has put herself under pressure (why???) to star in some unneccessary underwear advert 2 weeks after giving birth. All this nonsense would be OK if we were just reading about it on the pages of some silly celeb glossy magazine. But no she is portrayed by UTV as some sort of latter day saint and role model pontificating to other would be mums. It all makes me very sad as it could cause damage to vulnerable people and upset childless women who have actually done everything they were supposed to to have a healthy pregnancy.

Like everyone has said, congrats on the baby. If any of your children became footballers, do you think Jamie would mould them into a player like he was or a different kind of player?
Louise, I am writing from Canada. Your "size zero" documentary resonated with me. Thanks for putting your struggles out there. As you lost weight, I worried about your health. I am very happy for you, your family, and little Beau!
Years ago, I bought the cassette single of, "Stay". I loved it and still have it. I didn't know you were in the group!
All the best from Canada,
