Pop beauty Louise Redknapp gave birth to her first child a baby boy on Tuesday. The 29-year-old and her footballer husband Jamie, 31, have named the 6lb 6oz new arrival Charlie. The singer chose the name after her grandfather, who died on the day she discovered that she was pregnant. The couple said little Charlie, who was delivered by Caesarean section at 8.30am this morning, was perfect. The proud parents said: Mum and baby are well and over the moon with the birth of Charlie. This is an amazing day words cant describe just how special this feels for us. Were both speechless. Charlie is perfect.
The former member of pop band Eternal wed Spurs skipper Jamie in Bermuda in 1998.
She became pregnant after four years trying for a baby and beating the fertility condition, endometriosis. Redknapp, who was recently voted FHM magazines Sexiest Woman of the Decade, had postponed the release of her next album until after the birth.
